Werner Dafeldecker
& Nicholas Bussmann
Monte Carlo Fallacy
With the first lockdown in early 2020 Berlin became silent. The streets of Kreuzberg looked de-gentrified: it felt like early 90ies in East Berlin. This is the backdrop of the music on this album and this is what made it possible. Within a dozen recording session Nicholas Bussmann on Cello and Werner Dafeldecker on double bass explore the wooden texture of their instruments gently carved out of the self noise of the room.
Both sides of the album are just one take split in two.
